Wow.  Its been awhile...over the past few months I have been so busy preparing for PCN and other stuff, and now that its over, its actually time to get back to working on projects.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those who saw the show...everybody really put a lot of time into it.  I have a few pictures from the day of and some individual scenes here.

One unfortunate thing about PCN is that my sister's show was on the same day.  Since it was my last show, my parents decided to come to mine.  To make up for that, I took Shari with me to Giants v. Dodgers at Dodger Stadium on the April 24th.  I'm sure she had no idea what was going on, but the Giants won and it was a fun experience while both of us were being heckled at by Dodger fans.  There were several fights between Dodger and Giants fans in the stands...luckily not us!!! It was probably her first time at a 54,000 person venue.

Since I have some programming work to do now, I will leave you with a quote from my former Computer Science teacher....

"Lets get back to our regularly scheduled programming....hahaha!!!" -Hugh McGuire

Wow...this is amazing...I am actually posting...on a school nite!  But there were many events today that I must get off my chest.  First of all, work today at the post office today was not much fun.  It was really busy today and at around lunch time, the busiest time of day, my boss and 2 other girls in his click decided to leave for lunch, leaving only me, Jamie, and a couple of other co-workers to run the office.  The lines were going out the door and I was trying to handle different problems when the customer of the day came to the window and started yelling at Jamie about out prices vs. UPS.  I noticed that that customer was giving Jamie problems earlier.  So I come up to the window and listen into what was going on, and it got to the point when I couldn't listen to that woman chew Jamie out anymore.  I stepped in and explained to her that these are the prices that we have...and that if the box she was sending wasn't books or tapes or media stuff, that we couldn't send it media mail, the cheaper rate.  Anyways, the lid to my top almost popped off.  Thank god none of my bosses were there to see it!  I had to defend my Jamie!  Susan got to work later and we talked and made me feel better!

Moving on....two worlds apart:

Drew and I were walking around the bus loop today and I noticed that there was a dead monarch butterfly in the grass.  I felt bad about that and mentioned to him that there are many monarch butterflies in Monterey (acutally, in Pacific Grove).  Drew grew up in Baldwin Park, which is about 15 minutes east of LA.  He was quick to comment, "the only things flying around where i'm from are bullets!"

After that, Dan, Drew, and I went to the Economics graduate student office to discuss getting into the 5-year program.  It turns out that if I want any shot of getting into that, I might have to take a Econ stats class and do pretty well on the GRE's.  I am gonna have to make a decision about this and start studying soon.

To end the exciting day, Drew, Jeanette, and I had to get ready to go to this semi-formal banquet we were invited to go to by Lisa.  Lisa is in CAA, the Chinese club here and we were more than delighted to go and celebrate the Chinese New Year.  Surprisingly, one of the guys who greeted us wasn't so excited to see us.  Himself not even Chinese, but of latin descent, was quick to comment to the two filipinos (Drew and I) and a woman not of asian descent (Jeanette) as we approached the Chinese restaurant that we must have been mistaken, and that a private party was being held.  We explained to the designated greeter that we had tickets and were looking for Lisa.  Fortunately for us, Lisa had not arrived yet.  But since Lisa is such a good friend to us, she arranged for her friend, Yvonne, to meet us and save us some seats.  The food wasn't anything to boast about, but we all had a good time when Lisa and Anna showed up and Chancellor Yang was there!  Drew and I got a picture with him, as well as our good friends Lisa and Anna...and yes, they were looking hot, like all of us!

All the pics can be found here.

Now, time to do homework.....so I can go to

VEGAS AGAIN BABY...this weekend

One thing I forgot...and this is for Daawg...

I would like to congratulate Daawg for winning Fantasy Football.  As champion, Daawg wins temporary possession of our Fantasy Sports trophy, which consists of a silver-looking penguin candle holder.  Since Daawg has declined to actually take possession of the trophy, he would like it to reside at 6702 Mob headquarters, which is actually now at 6750 El Colegio Rd, apt 146

Daawg, we can guarantee that your penguin will be safe from the evil aryan forces of the LCDSA, the Lower Camino Del Sur Alliance.

On another note, all this xanga stuff has taken me about an hour!!! Must start doing homework, NOW!

Ok folks, sorry it has been awhile since I have posted an update.  There has acutally been stuff going on, but as all know well, I have been lazy.  I have much to say, so brace yourselves!

After Christmas, Robinson, Joey, Doris, Robinson's gf and her friend and I went up to Boreal for a little snowboarding.  I was on the border of not even going because the morning of, I had a temperature of 102.  My mom told me that I shouldn't go, and at one point I acutally cancelled, but then my uncle Ron convinced me to go!  So I went and I payed the price, I had a temperature of 103 that night, as w ll as every other night.  But I pulled it through during the next day in the snow...I can actually do some carving now (thanks Doris for the instruction)...

Click here for the pic of us at Boreal... L-R: Joey, me, Doris, Robinson, Jessie (did I spell that right?), and Annie.

We then made our way to Reno and we stayed at the Peppermill Casino that night.  As usual, everyone else wanted to take a shower first, and the girls made their claim by saying the ususal, that girls should always go first.  I agree, but I was sick!  I needed to shower off all those germs, and I had a new fever!  We had $5.00 steak and eggs at the casino restaurant and I felt a little better.  That was overridden by the $40 I lost playing blackjack.  I wanted to play hold 'em, but their minimum table, as expected, was $4/$8.  I don't have that kinda bankroll, especially after xmas!

I ended up just passing out in the hotel room after that.  I woke up the next morning and we then proceeded to Robinson's college buddy's house who lives in Reno.  We then went to eat some all you can eat sushi, for only 12 bucks.  We ate so much, really.  I had so many crustaceans, I can't even name them all.  I'm glad that their restrooms had a pretty powerful suction system!  Anyways, surprisingly after that, we went to a Dollar Tree in Reno.  Robinson wanted to pick up some stuff from there.  I noticed that he picked up some books, books that I guess he plans to sell on amazon.com and make money off of!  Get a better job, homie!

After Dollar Tree, we actually set off on the road.  As we made our way back on the I-80, it started to snow.  So we pulled over and Robinson and I installed the snow chains, and it took us forever!  What even sucked more is that after driving at an average speed of 30, we had to turn back to Reno because they closed the road!  So we stayed at Robinson's friend's house that night and we finally set off for home the next morning.

Okay...moving right along...for New Year's I went with my very good friend Sharnie to Dave and Buster's in the Great Mall in Milpitas.  D & B's is a big arcade with a huge bar in the middle.  It's like a grownup's Chuck-E-Cheese!  We did some drinking, and it was fun doing the countdown and stuff there too.

I drove back down to Santa Barbara on Sunday, the 4th.  It's been good to be back.  My roommate, LJ was quick to welcome me back... I feel like i'm in for an easy quarter, I only have 3 classes, and one of them is Econ.

On Friday night (of the first weekend back), the streets were poppin'.  I actually got the house unit to roll out and party!!!  Drew, Jeanette, Danielle, Kevin (the neighbor), and I rolled over to Christina's to party.  As I like, her house always has plenty of alochol and we didn't leave until it was all gone.  By the way, Christina, you were supposed to email me that pic!!!  Jamie and her peeps met up with us and we proceeded to walk DP, which had plenty of people.  When it was time to go home, LJ was nice enough to meet us at my car and he drove us home...

I did absolutely nothing on Saturday the 10th.  On Sunday, Drew, Jeanette, Danielle, and I headed down south to Drew's house in Panorama City.  Yes, we saw the chickens, but the main reason we went there is b/c Drew's car alarm went off here in SB and he didn't have the remote to turn it off.  We then went down to Irvine to visit Shari...I brought her some stuff and we ate at my favorite Southern California eating establishment, Macaroni Grill.  Have fun in the snow Shari!!! We came back to SB the same night b/c we all had class early on Monday morning.

Ok, I know that this is getting long now, but I still have some stuff to get off my chest.  It is kinda getting exhausting though.  Ok no, I can't do it anymore!  That is enough!  If anybody actually reads all of this I will be surprised!  Must do homework!

Finals have been over for awhile now.  I am done working on the project as well, for now.  To highlight my activities since then, I went to Disneyland with Drew, Jeanette, and Daawg on Monday the 15th!  Drew had some left over tickets from his family and let us use them!  We went to both parks, Disneyland and California Adventure.  Click here to see some of the pics

After that, we went to eat at Carrows and then to the Commerce Casino.  That place is hella ghetto, but they actually had high stakes.  Drew played 2-4 for awhile while Jeanette and I cruised around the hotel and chatted it up.  Daawg stayed back and watched Drew slowly lose his some of his money.

We left at around midnite and dropped Daawg off in North Hollywood, then went to crash at Drew's house in Panorama City.  The next morning his mom had breakfast ready for us, and it was great!   We went to eat a pleasant lunch with his mom at Macaroni Grill in Northridge.  Thanks for everything Drew!

The next few days I ended up just chillin' at the Ynez apartment.  LJ showed up for a nite because he was hella bored with being in Tulare.  I had to work on finishing getting the parts all bagged and labeled up for the project.  This involved going back and forth to the ECE shop to see if all the parts came in.  I finished that up on Wednesday nite and turned it in on Thursday.  Lucky me, Prof. Butner took the opportnuity to tell me what was wrong with the project and what needed to be changed.

I was planning on going home that day with Shari, but we got in a minor bicker and she decided to leave without me!  So I took the opportunity to stay one more nite.  Drew then took the opportunity to take me and Jeanette to Outback, on him!  Thanks again, buddy.  He also wanted someone to accompany him to a Chumash tournament on Friday morning.  I did, and ended up winning a little bit of money.  I got 5th place in the tournament!  After that, we went back to the Ynez and I took a nap for a few hours, then went home.

I've been home since Friday nite and it was good seeing some of the homies.  Marc, Adam (and Marie), and I played my new game, Giants Monopoly, at Adam's house in Marina.  I thought that I would be slick and trade almost all my money and a couple of other properties to get both blue properties (Barry Bonds and Willie Mays) from Marie.  It didn't work very well, because I never had enough money to really build on those properties and when I did, I took out Marc and Adam, but Marie always managed to skip them.  She had already built many hotels around the board, which I managed to land on often, and she won.  As routine, we went to Denny's afterwards.

Since then all I have been doing is trying to buy gifts for my family.  I hate it when I wait till the last minute, because you have to fight with everybody at the malls!  I am pretty much done now, and I spent the whole day today wrapping those gifts.  Now I am extremely bored off my ass at home.
